American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior Star to Design a Custom SKIL Chopper

It all started in 1937 with the original SKILSAW Model 77. Designed for tradesmen who earned a living by using it to construct bridges, roads and buildings, the saw was engineered to be tough and dependable. As the Model 77 evolved, it became the industry standard and cornerstone of SKIL’s reputation for quality and dependability. To commemorate this milestone anniversary, Paul Teutul Jr. of Paul Jr. Designs will build a custom-designed chopper motorcycle. Its unveiling will be at an exclusive event in Las Vegas on May 1, which coincides with the National Hardware Show week. In addition to the original custom chopper, Paul Jr. Designs will design and build a second SKILSAW motorcycle to be sold through eBay Motors during a 10-day auction in the fall.  One-hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to The Home Depot Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure that every veteran has a safe place to call home.

The custom chopper for Newmont Mining Corporation was unveiled March 27, 2012 at the Red Lion Hotel and Casino in Elko, Nevada. There were 2,800 invited guests for this event. Paul Jr, Rachael, Vinnie and Joe were in attendance. Newmont Mining Corporation is one of the world’s largest producers of gold, with active mines in Nevada, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Ghana and Peru. The company reported operating cash flow of $3.6 billion and revenue of $10.4 billion in 2011. The bike will air on American Chopper April 9th and 16th.

Paul Jr. Designs to build a muscle car…taking elements from the build-off bike and incorporate them into a modern muscle car. The previews showed a Chevy Camaro, stay tuned as this could redefine or span a new show…. ???

OCC was commissioned to build two style bikes for John Christner Trucking. The trucking company will celebrate their 25th Anniversary with two custom bikes built by OCC. Rick Petko is getting married and his goal is to have the Teutual’s sit together at the wedding. Ricky’s goal throughout the American Chopper series was to get Senior and Junior to get along. Stay tuned to see if he can work that out.
