It all started in 1937 with the original SKILSAW Model 77. Designed for tradesmen who earned a living by using it to construct bridges, roads and buildings, the saw was engineered to be tough and dependable. Its unveiling will be at an exclusive event in Las Vegas on May 1, which coincides with the National Hardware Show week. In addition to the original custom chopper, Paul Jr. Designs will design and build a second SKILSAW motorcycle to be sold through eBay Motors during a 10-day auction in the fall. One-hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to The Home Depot Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure that every veteran has a safe place to call home.

The custom chopper for Newmont Mining Corporation was unveiled March 27, 2012 at the Red Lion Hotel and Casino in Elko, Nevada. There were 2,800 invited guests for this event. Paul Jr, Rachael, Vinnie and Joe were in attendance. Newmont Mining Corporation is one of the world’s largest producers of gold, with active mines in Nevada, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Ghana and Peru. The company reported operating cash flow of $3.6 billion and revenue of $10.4 billion in 2011. The bike will air on American Chopper April 9th and 16th.

Tanner Foust – 2012 Ford Focus ST-R

Race driver Tanner Foust is known for his great drifting and rallying skills, so it only makes sense that Ford reps allowed him to jump behind the wheel of the new 2012 Ford Focus ST-R racecar to wring it out at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The Focus ST-R takes the forthcoming performance-oriented Focus ST hatchback and transforms it into it a turnkey racecar. The same 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 carries over from the ST with its 247 hp intact, as well as with its six-speed manual gearbox, though the powertrain has been optimized to run on high-octane race fuel. Recaro racing seats, an FIA-spec roll cage, and larger brakes complete the change from street car to track car. The only thing missing for teams that pick up a Focus ST-R are their safety and radio equipment.

In the video below, Foust tosses the Focus around Homestead-Miami’s bends and discusses how excited he is about the Focus – and Ford – entering more racing competitions this year. The ST-R will make its racing debut later this month at the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge during Grand Am weekend from January 26-27 at Homestead-Miami.
