CarShowsUs is disappointed…

John Salley cut from The Car Show along with 30 minutes of the show.

We know there’s been several complaints with the show being called “The Car Show” and not reflecting any car knowledge.

Personally we felt Salley brought a different flavor to the show. But SPEED had to do what they have to do. Not making ratings…make changes.

We feel the segments need to be more viewer friendly. Example, who would take two high-end luxury cars and tattoo someone in the back of them?

Take Top Gear…they take everyday vehicles and mix some flavor into their segments, topped off with featuring high-end super cars.

Top Gear keeps their show at the viewers level and to keep the excitement they introduce the big boy cars.

We love The Car Show, no question. But the show seems to be for the rich. Step it down a notch with the rides…take some everyday cars and do some testing, racing, or blow some of the myths on the streets with everyday common vehicles.

Feature the car enthusiasts each week. Introduce everyday people and their rides!! Imports, domestics, trucks, cars, a variety of rides!! Draw in more viewers from all ages / gender.

CarShowz was recently contacted by the SPEED Channel and wanted to thank us for supporting their show, “The Car Show.” Adam Carolla and staff took the time to record a video shout-out to our www.CarShowz.us, the Car Show website. CarShowz.us was established in 2009 to provide automobile enthusiasts with car shows, truck shows, and motorcycle shows listings across the United States. We would like to thank the SPEED Channels marketing team for giving us CarShowz the opportunity to be associated with the show.

This past episode of the SPEED channel’s, “The Car Show” hosted by Adam Carolla caught some flack from internet forums because of the casts mess ups.

One of the major complaints was during the show’s opening segment, “Zero to 60″ they spoke about the Pontiac G8 being a fwd car. Season 1, Episode 3, who cares?! Support the show, complaining in a forum will not solve all the worlds problems, people make mistakes and nobody is perfect. The argument or debate to be made is, they are a “CAR SHOW” they should know better. Zero to 60 appears to be unscripted, I cannot verify, but I don’t view this mistake as a show stopper.

I stand by the show! Why? Well, I am an auto enthusiast, I love anything on wheels. If you enjoy cars, trucks, motorcycles, or whatever, support the show.

The Smoking Tire was founded in 2009 as a way to improve upon the already-successful internet series Garage419. We are real car guys, making car videos because it’s what we love. Matt obsessively reads car news, Tom lives for hanging out of cars at high speed, and JF organizes things, constantly. Time has yet to show us Dan’s true capabilities, but we hear he’s good with hair gel.
